Daylight Ministries Home- Success Stories and Testimonials
Our residents are able to find
employment within 30 days of coming to Daylight Ministries. One of
the residents found a job within two weeks, thanks to the funding we
received from the United Way of the Capital Area. We can now provide
clothing to wear to interviews and bus passes for transportation.
This year we had three graduates from the program.
Michele was able to accomplish her goals of getting a job, getting
her GED and going back to college. She has decided to make Jackson
her home so she went and got her two boys, ages two and eleven, from
New Orleans and enrolled them in school here. Also her mother is
living with her to help with the boys.
Valerie is working at McDonald’s where she is Crew Trainer. She has
worked and saved enough money to purchase a vehicle. Now she is
looking at the possibility of buying her first home. Valerie has
also decided to make Jackson her home. She has her cosmetology
license and plans to start her own business soon. She is from
Columbus, MS.
Angela is working nights at Waffle House in Clinton. She found a
real nice apartment in walking distance to her job. She plans to
move back to Louisiana in a couple of months.
Thank you United Way for partnering with us to help break the cycle
of addictive behavior and crime, for being a part of these ladies
restored lives and of those who will follow.
